Start

Across the street from Ventana Ranch park is a natural landscaped dog park.  This is where the run begins.  Run 0.6 miles north along Universe Blvd towards Irvine Blvd. 

Universe Blvd

This route segment runs along Universe Blvd for 1.5 miles between Woodmont Ave and Irvine Blvd. 

Irvine Blvd

The Irvine Blvd segment of the route runs 0.5 miles between Universe Blvd and Rainbow Blvd.  Irvine is the northern boundary of Ventana Ranch.  The north side of the road is mostly open mesa.  Coyote Willow Family School is located at Rainbow and Irvine.

Rainbow Blvd

The Rainbow Blvd segment of the route runs 1.5 miles between Irvine Blvd and Woodmont Ave. It cuts through the center of both Ventana Ranch and The Trails.

Mormon Church

The Mormon Church is a local landmark at the corner of Rainbow Blvd and Woodmont Ave.

Youth Soccer Field

Both Ventana Ranch and The Trails have many scattered parks.  This one on Woodmont is often used for youth soccer practice. 

Woodmont Ave

The Woodmont Ave segment of the route is 0.6 miles running between Rainbow Blvd and Universe Blvd.

Segment distances:

  1. Woodmont Ave to Irvine Blvd along Universe Blvd: 1.5 miles
  2. Universe Blvd to Rainbow Blvd along Irvine Blvd: 0.5 miles
  3. Irvine Blvd to Woodmont Ave along Rainbow Blvd: 1.5 miles
  4. Rainbow to Universe along Woodmont: 0.6 miles

Route Description:

  • Ventana Ranch park is located on the east side of Universe Blvd and Ventana Village Road.  Across the street from Ventana Ranch park is a natural landscaped dog park.  This is where the run begins.  Run north along Universe Blvd towards Irvine Blvd.
  • The intersection of Universe Blvd and Irvine Blvd is approximately 0.6 miles.  Run west along Irvine.
  • The intersection of Rainbow Blvd with Irvine Blvd is 0.5 miles.  You will see Coyote Willow Family School on the mesa side of the street.  Run south on Rainbow Blvd.
  • The Rainbow Blvd segment of the route runs 1.5 miles between Irvine Blvd and Woodmont Ave.  At Woodmont Ave turn east.
  • Run down Woodmont Ave past the youth soccer field until you reach Universe Blvd and turn north. 
  • The last segment running north along Universe Blvd from Woodmont Ave is 0.9 miles.
